Rise of the Black Panther (Legacy)

A third Black Panther title is launching in January 2018 - a 'Year One' style look at T'Challa titled Rise of the Black Panther. io9 journalist Evan Narcisse is writing the title after being recruited by Black Panther writer Ta-Nehisi Coates. The artist and length of the series have not been named.

"[This] is essentially the story of T’Challa’s first year as king, where he makes the decision to end centuries of secrecy and let the world know about Wakanda,"Narcisse told io9. "It’s a choice that angers many in Wakanda and attracts the attention of the global community on Earth-616."

Narcisse is consulting with Coates to make sure this new title fits the story going forward in the primary Black Panther title, but is writing it on his own.
