Bug!: The Adventures of Forager (Young Animal)

DC Comics has announced Bug!: The Adventures of Forager, a new Young Animal imprint title from writer Lee Allred and artists Mike &Laura Allred which revives one of Jack Kirby's Fourth World characters.

Forager was one of the New Gods of New Genesis, an expert tracker and hunter with an insect-like appearance. He's rarely appeared outside the Fourth World titles, but he did play a key role in 52.

“Ever since Mike and I read a battered copy of New Gods #9 in the waiting room before guitar lessons, we’ve loved Forager the Bug,” Lee Allred told the A.V. Club. “A kinetic action hero on one hand, an alienated, introspective youth on the other—he’s the quintessential Young Animal character. We’re taking Bug on a slam-bang, save-the-universe romp across DC’s Kirbyverse as we search for Bug’s true place in life. It’s a family team project about a family road trip. Don’t make us turn this Kirby car around!”
